Mobile Canine Bodywork & Behavioral Stress Relief

In-Home Bodywork for All Dogs in the West San Fernando Valley

Living in Los Angeles means navigating constant sensory noise, busy streets, and hectic routines. Dogs absorb this environmental input and store it as physical muscle tension. Over time, physical tightness keeps a dog's nervous system on high alert—showing up as pacing, restlessness, reactivity, or anxiety.

I provide choice-led canine bodywork directly in your home to release physical tension and help your dog's mind settle. While I work with dogs of all ages and backgrounds, my practice specializes in two key areas: dogs experiencing behavioral or environmental stress, and senior dogs navigating age-related changes. In-home sessions give your dog physical comfort without the stress of travel.

Tailored Relaxation for Every Dog

Every dog holds physical stress differently based on their age, daily routine, and environment. By combining choice-led bodywork with extensive behavior expertise, every session is customized around your dog’s physical tension and comfort baseline.

Comfort for Senior Dogs

As dogs age, physical changes alter how they move, sleep, and rest. Bodywork helps senior dogs maintain physical ease, supports natural mobility, and reduces the restlessness or anxiety that often comes with aging.

Relief for Stressed & Anxious Dogs

Dogs living with environmental noise, reactivity, or fear hold constant physical tightness in their bodies. Using a choice-led pace, bodywork lowers nervous system arousal so overstimulated dogs can finally settle.

Support for Active Companions

Athletic dogs build up physical wear from daily activity. Non-medical bodywork offers soothing comfort, helps active dogs unwind, and supports natural resting posture.

A Choice-Led Approach

Every session moves strictly at your dog's pace with zero force or physical restraint. Touch happens entirely on your dog's terms, creating a safe, pressure-free experience tailored to their individual needs.

The Heart Behind California Canine Wellness

For years, my work with dogs was rooted in canine behavior. Over time, I saw a clear pattern: a dog cannot relax mentally if they are carrying physical tension in their body.

To address both sides, I anchored my practice in rigorous, formal education. I graduated from two canine massage institutions and completed specialized international training focused on posture, movement, and behavior-informed touch. To maintain the highest standard of care for the Los Angeles community, I am also preparing to sit for the NBCAAM national board examination.

California Canine Wellness provides mobile somatic bodywork to release tension, lower nervous system stress, and help dogs settle—with a core focus on senior dogs and dogs experiencing behavioral stress.

What Sets My Approach Apart:

  • Behavior-Driven Touch: My background in canine behavior allows me to read subtle body language and micro-expressions. I know when a dog needs a break, where they hold tension, and how to adjust my approach so they feel completely safe.

  • Choice-Led Pacing: I never force or restrain a dog. Sessions move strictly at your dog's chosen pace, building trust and lowering baseline stress.

  • Veterinary Collaboration: I collaborate with local Los Angeles veterinarians to provide non-medical bodywork that supports your dog's overall physical and mental wellbeing.

A Peek Inside a Comfort Session...

During a session, my hands are guided by your dog’s comfort and consent. Rather than forcing a rigid routine, I use slow somatic touch and steady, calming contact designed to help your dog's nervous system settle.

There is no heavy pressure or forced handling. Every session moves at your dog's pace, focusing on reducing physical stress, encouraging ease of movement, and helping your dog rest on their own terms.

Step 1: Safety & Connection

No pressure, zero force. My primary focus is making your dog feel safe. I sit on the floor, let them approach on their terms, and give them time to adjust. While they settle, we review daily routines and stress points.

Step 2: Choice-Led Touch

At your dog's pace. I set up wherever your dog feels most secure. Using gentle somatic touch, I follow their lead completely. If they need to pause, move away, or grab water, they are always free to do so.

Step 3: Post-Session Guidance

Sustaining daily resting ease. Sessions may end with your dog in a deep rest state. Before leaving, I recap what worked best and give you simple, choice-led routines to keep your dog comfortable between visits.

Start Here: The Foundational Comfort Package

Los Angeles is loud, busy, and full of sensory noise. Many dogs live with hidden physical tension that shows up as restlessness, constant alertness, reactivity, or age-related anxiety. You cannot train away a stressed nervous system. Real physical and mental relief requires a multi-session approach. This 3-session in-home package establishes a calm routine, respects your dog's pace, and releases the physical tension keeping their mind on high alert.

What's Included:

  • Session 1: Stress Assessment & Initial Bodywork (~75–90 Mins) We review your dog's history, daily routines, and stress points together in your home. While your dog acclimates, I observe resting posture, natural movement, and micro-signals of stress that owners often miss. We also audit home setup factors—like flooring, lighting, and sound—that drive daily arousal. We finish by introducing gentle touch entirely at your dog's chosen pace.

  • Sessions 2 & 3: Targeted Bodywork & Stress Release (~60 Mins Each) With trust established, we dive into targeted bodywork tailored to your dog’s needs—whether releasing tension tied to behavioral stress or supporting senior mobility changes. Using choice-led touch, targeted warmth, and environmental setup adjustments, these sessions help your dog shift from constant alertness into deep, restorative rest. You will also learn simple ways to spot early stress signals before your dog reaches overload.

Service Area: Sessions are held in the comfort of your home. My primary mobile service zone is the West San Fernando Valley. Traveling outside this zone may incur an additional travel fee (see FAQs for details).

Package Investment: $750

Note: After purchase, you will receive an email to select your preferred dates and complete your dog's initial history form.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is canine wellness touch, and why is it so important?

Canine wellness touch is a specialized, non-medical modality focused entirely on nervous system regulation, tension release, and emotional comfort. City life, daily play, and emotional stress can cause a dog's muscles to hold chronic tension, which can quickly spill over into their behavior.

This work is vital because mental calm and physical comfort are deeply inseparable. A dog cannot fully relax their mind or let go of a hyper-vigilant, high-alert state if they are experiencing physical tightness or restriction in their own body. By using gentle, slow-paced techniques to clear physical tension, I soothe the nervous system from the outside in—opening the door to true behavioral and emotional relaxation

What makes your approach different from a standard dog massage?

My bodywork changes the biological state of your dog's nervous system. Using specialized touch mechanics, I trigger parasympathetic down-regulation—shifting your dog out of a sympathetic fight-or-flight state and into true, restorative rest.

Chronic stress, anxiety, and reactivity cause dogs to live in a perpetual state of physical guarding. When a dog's nervous system stays on high alert, you cannot train away their stress. By systematically releasing this physical tension at the nervous system level, my work expands your dog's capacity to handle everyday LA stressors. The result is a lower baseline arousal, deeper sleep, and a dog that can finally settle at home.

What is your professional background and training?

I believe canine wellness requires elite education. I am in the final stages of wrapping up my studies at the Ojai School of Canine Massage (OCSOM) and completing comprehensive training in Galen Myotherapy methodologies.  To further my commitment to the field, I am also actively preparing to sit for the NBCAAM (National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage) exam.

Because true physical comfort is rooted in emotional safety, my training also includes an extensive background as a behavior consultant with both domestic and exotic animals. This unique combination allows me to provide the absolute highest standard of non-medical, relaxation-focused care.

My dog is incredibly anxious, reactive, or fearful around strangers. Can you actually work with them?

Yes, absolutely. In fact, sensitive and guarded souls are the heart of this practice. Because of my deep background in canine behavior, I understand how to read the subtlest signs of stress. We never force connection, trap a dog on a mat, or push past their comfort zone. If your dog needs to spend our entire first session just realizing I am a safe person who sits on the floor and respects their space, that is exactly what we will do.

Can bodywork help senior dogs who are starting to slow down?

Absolutely! Massage and choice-led bodywork are wonderful for supporting a dog's general wellness and quality of life as they age. While our sessions are purely non-medical, relaxation-focused modalities, they are excellent for easing normal muscle tension, supporting local circulation, and promoting general comfort and vitality.

For senior dogs or those experiencing structural changes, we always work in harmony with your care team. If your dog is under the care of a veterinarian for a specific medical condition, we require a standard veterinary clearance before our first session to ensure bodywork is a safe addition to their wellness routine.

Where do these sessions take place?

We are a fully mobile service serving the West San Fernando Valley area. Sessions take place entirely in the comfort and familiarity of your own home, where your dog already feels safest and most relaxed.

I live in West Los Angeles. Can you travel to me?

Yes! While my primary daily zone is the West San Fernando Valley, I love supporting our Westside communities. To make this sustainable with LA traffic and gas, I host Dedicated Westside Days each month.

By batching my Westside clients together on a single day, I am able to come directly to your home for a significantly reduced travel fee. Because these days are highly optimized and travel paths are planned in advance, openings are strictly limited and fill up quickly. Please connect with me via the contact form so I can get you on the roster for our next dedicated Westside day!

My dog has a history of aggression or severe reactivity. Can we still do bodywork?

Yes, but we begin with a dedicated, zero-pressure conversation. Because my practice is entirely non-medical and choice-led, your dog's safety and emotional comfort are my absolute priorities. If your dog navigates world-weary protective behaviors or has a bite history, the first step is to book a free consultation call. Together, we will review your dog’s specific triggers and design a meticulous safety plan to determine if they are a good candidate for a slow-paced, in-home session.  Please note that because sudden behavioral changes can point to deep-seated physical issues, all sensitive or aggressive cases must be formally cleared by your veterinarian first to ensure there are no medical contraindications before we begin.

It is also important to note that behavioral changes, including reactivity or defensive guarding, can often be linked to a dog's general comfort levels. When a dog experiences tight or tense muscles, their natural instinct is to fiercely protect their personal space. By prioritizing absolute trust and never forcing a dog into a static or vulnerable position, wellness bodywork becomes a transformative tool. It allows us to support their physical comfort while working in perfect alignment with positive behavior modification to lower their overall baseline stress.
